ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Local communities are planning celebrations for Independence Day. Here is a full list of what’s to come.
Town of Penfield
June 28 marks the day for the Town of Penfield’s Independence Day celebration. Starting off with a Parade at 10 a.m. beginning at Penfield High School and ending at the Penfield Community Center. In the evening, Harris Whalen Park will host food vendors and live music starting at 6 p.m. with fireworks ending the night at 10 p.m.

Town of Chili
June 28 also marks the day for the Town of Chili’s Summerfest 2025. The Chili Community Center will host live music and food vendors starting at 4 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m.

Town of Irondequoit
The Town of Irondequoit is hosting a two-day festival lasting from July 3 to July 4.
On July 3, the festival starts at 10:30 a.m. with a Reflection of the Declaration of Independence on the front steps of the Irondequoit Town Hall. With Family Activities starting at 11 a.m., and a Street Dance ending the night from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
On July 4, the festival starts at 8 a.m. with a 10k and 2-Mile Fun Run, and at 11 a.m. there will be a parade beginning at the Irondequoit High School and ending at the Town Hall Campus. Family Activities also start at 11 a.m. and Fireworks will end the night starting at 9:30 p.m.

Downtown Rochester
The City of Rochester will be lighting off fireworks on July 4 for the community starting at 10 p.m. and they should last between 15 to 20 minutes.
The following streets will close at 8 p.m. and will open back up as spectators leave the area after the show.

The Town of Greece is hosting its annual 4th of July Celebration with all activities taking place at the Greece Town Campus.
The 5k Freedom run starts at 7 a.m. and the Superhero Sprint begins shortly after at 8:15 a.m. Food trucks and other family activities will be available at 4 p.m. with live music starting at 6 p.m. To end off the night, fireworks will start at around 10 p.m.

Village of Fairport
The Village of Fairport, along with the Town of Perinton, Wegmans, and the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce are hosting its annual 4th of July Celebration.
Starting at 8 a.m., the Firecracker four-mile run beginning at the corner of Whitney Road and O’Connor Road and finishing in Perinton Park.
Then at 10 a.m., the Parade will start going north on Potter Place, turn west on West Church Street and end at Perinton Park.
Town of Henrietta
The Town of Henrietta is hosting its annual 4th of July celebration at Veterans Memorial Park.
Live music, Food vendors, and other family activities will start at 4 p.m. with fireworks closing out the night at 9:45 p.m.
