Dana White insists he was completely unaware of Jake Paul’s next fight, or that it was coinciding with UFC 317.
UFC 317 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this weekend, but it clashes with Paul’s return to the ring against Julio Chavez Jr.
Despite UFC 317 clashing with Paul’s next fight, and the fact that both events are likely to take eyeballs from one another, White doesn’t seem too fazed.
“I didn’t even f****** know that, who is he fighting?” he said.
“I didn’t even know he was fighting so that’s how concerned I am about it.”
YouTuber-turned-professional boxer Paul has teamed up with Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions for his upcoming bout against former world champion Chavez Jr.
It is being held at the Honda Centre in Anaheim, California, with both men expected to make their ringwalks at 4am on Sunday morning for UK fans.
At UFC 317, Ilia Topuria is facing Charles Oliveira for the vacant lightweight title, with the two MMA stars expected to enter the Octagon at 5am UK time.
Paul and White are entertaining figures within the sports industry, who have collided to form a long-running and bitter feud.
The feud became apparent after White claimed that Paul and Triller Fight Club lied about the pay-per-view buys.
“There is a market for that. That is not what I do. That’s not what I do,” White told CBS Sports.
“People want to see that, and it’s great, and this kid’s going to make a couple bucks before this ride is over.”

Paul even dropped a diss track music video in January 2022, where he used satire to slam UFC pay, poor treatment of fighters, and to highlight other accusations he made about White.
When recently asked about Paul’s career thus far, White said: “I stopped paying attention to Jake Paul when he lost to [Tommy] Fury.
“When he fought somebody that was his age and actually boxed, he lost.”
White is no stranger to boxing himself, having recently signed a deal for a new Saudi-backed boxing promotion company.
The American’s first show since launching will come on September 13 during the huge showdown between Alvarez and Crawford, as he is chief promoter.

He explained: “I really like Eddie Hearn, Frank Warren and a lot of the other guys that are in the sport. I think they are going to continue to do what they do, while we do what we do.
“I don’t think there is any rivalry because some of these guys I have good relationships with.”
