The newest addition to Banner Health will bring nearly two decades of leadership and advanced surgical experience to the CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado.
Michael Robich has joined the CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado in Greeley as a cardiothoracic surgeon, according to a Banner news release. As a cardiothoracic surgeon, Robich performs surgery on parts of the chest cavity like the heart and lungs.
In addition to his work as a board-certified surgeon, Robich will oversee program growth and development as the regional medical director for cardiovascular services for Banner’s western region.
“I want the program to grow and provide the best services in the region,” Robich said in the release. “I want people to choose Banner Health for their cardiovascular care because we provide the best care.”
In 2011, Robich completed his general surgery residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, according to the release. He later completed his cardiothoracic surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland.
Before relocating to Colorado with his family, Robich spent his career on the East Coast, serving at top institutions like Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Tufts Medical Center, the release said.
“I fully committed myself to heart surgery early on in my career,” Robich said. “I was fortunate to work in jobs that were very busy. I had the opportunity to perform a lot of heart operations early on in my career and that helped me grow as a surgeon. In my 10 years in this specialty, I’ve been able to see a lot and do a lot because of those early experiences.”
Patients can now see Robich at the CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado at 1800 15th St., Suite 340, Greeley. For more information, prospective patients can call 970-810-4593.
