Louisville will fight another day in Omaha. The Cardinals saw a 3-run lead evaporate in the top of the 9th, but scored the winning in the bottom of the inning to walk-off Oregon State in Tuesday’s College World Series elimination game.
Thanks to a 3-run 9th for Oregon State, it was a 6-6 game when Louisville came up for its final at-bat. Eddie King Jr. hit the game-winner, a sac fly to plate Alex Alicea for the 7-6 victory.

In the 3rd inning, the Cards extended their lead when Jake Munroe hit a 2-run home run to left center, making it a 3-0 game.
Oregon State finally got on the board in the top of the 4th inning when Jacob Krieg hit a 2-run home to left field.
Louisville answered with a solo home run from Rose. It remained a 4-2 game until the top of the 6th inning when OSU cut it to 4-3.
The Cardinals appeared to add a pair of key insurance runs to get it to 6-3. Kamau Neighbors had an RBI single in the bottom of the 6th and a sacrifice fly brought Matt Klein home in the bottom of the 7th.
Oregon State, however, put together its biggest rally of the day in its last at-bat. Aiva Arquette led off the top of the 9th with a solo home run to cut it to 6-4. It was still 6-4 when the Beavers had the bases loaded with nobody out. Two runs scored on what was ruled a fielder’s choice and an error to make it 6-6.

The situation is sure to haunt Oregon State as it leaves Omaha and goes back to Corvallis.
Louisville will play Coastal Carolina. The Cardinals would be eliminated with a loss, but need to beat the Chanticleers twice to advance to the CWS Finals.
