Four-time All-Star Kahleah Copper will make her 2025 season debut for the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday at the Las Vegas Aces after she missed the first 11 games with a knee injury, the team announced.
Sunday also marks the debut of Phoenix’s star trio, as Copper will play alongside Satou Sabally and Alyssa Thomas in the regular season for the first time.
Phoenix has held up despite Copper’s absence with a 7-4 record, as Sabally has led the team in scoring with 20.5 points per game after coming over in an offseason trade from Dallas.

“I have been on the bench just so hype watching them have success and that’s what I wanted in the offseason when I was bugging them about coming here … to be close to being out there with them, I’m excited,” Copper told reporters on Saturday when asked about playing with Sabally and Thomas.
The Mercury start a four-game road trip in Las Vegas with stops in Connecticut, New York and Chicago. Their next home game is on June 27 against the Liberty.
