Records show the property is held in trusts under the names of Hurtt and his wife, Nancy. They bought the house for $5 million in October 2019, which had dark interiors. It now has a light and airy feel following a remodel.
Highlights include the great room, anchored by a two-story stone fireplace. It shares the space with a formal dining room.
The kitchen centers around a center island with seating and opens to the breakfast room.
There are two primary suites, including one on the entry level with a fireplace and a wet room bathroom.

An all-wood bunk room and two custom guest suites complete the listing being marketed by Joe Evans of Coldwell Banker Sky Ridge Realty.
Hurtt, 81, was elected to the California Senate in 1994. He stepped down as Senate GOP leader in 1998 to spend more time with his family and focus on running his business, the Container Supply Co. in Garden Grove.
