A motorcycle rider was killed Wednesday morning in a collision with a bus near downtown Los Angeles, police said.
The crash was reported at 5:17 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Alameda Street, just south of the 10 Freeway, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
Initial reports indicated the rider collided with a DASH bus and was pronounced dead at the scene, the officer said. The crash scene is next to the downtown bus lot of the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, which operates DASH.

No one else was treated or transported, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey.
The victim was a man, thought to be in his mid-30s, Humphrey said.
The LAPD’s Central Traffic Division was investigating the fatal crash.
