From Fifty Shades of Grey to her upcoming turn in Materialists, Dakota Johnson is no stranger to earning rave reviews. But they can't all be winners, and the actress, 35, hit a roadblock with 2024's Madame Web.
The film was such a dud that it earned several Golden Raspberry Awards, commonly referred to as Razzies. Johnson scored the "Worst Actress" win for that one.
On Tuesday's episode of Good Hang with Amy Poehler, Johnson explained to Poehler that she got a sweet confidence boost from a famous Oscar winner following the ego kick.
“Sandra Bullock sent me a voice note being like, ‘I heard you are in the Razzie club and we should have brunch. We should have like a monthly brunch,’” Johnson shared. “Because I guess she won that the year that she won the Oscar as well.”
“Congrats. There’s a lot of good people that have won that,” Poehler noted.

Bullock's Razzie was for her role in All About Steve. Coincidentally, she earned that title the same year she won the Academy Award for The Blind Side.
"I freaked out getting this message from her because she's so iconic to me," Johnson continued. "As like, a movie star. It was just crazy."
Even movie stars get starstruck, it seems!
Johnson has spoken a bit about Madame Web and the film's failure to captivate both critics and audiences.
“It wasn’t my fault,” Johnson told the Los Angeles Times, laughing. “There’s this thing that happens now where a lot of creative decisions are made by committee. Or made by people who don’t have a creative bone in their body. And it’s really hard to make art that way. Or to make something entertaining that way.”
