One person was killed and another was injured Monday afternoon in a crash involving a car and a tractor-trailer in El Paso County, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
A Hyundai Ioniq and a Mack tractor-trailer collided on Colorado 115 near milepost 29 at about 1 p.m. Monday, according to a news release from the agency.
Paramedics took the Hyundai driver to the hospital by ambulance and the juvenile passenger was picked up by an emergency medical helicopter, state patrol officials said.
The passenger, who has not been publicly identified, died at the hospital, according to the release.
Information about the cause of the crash was not available Tuesday morning.
