Glastonbury 2025 dates and latest ticket information

Glastonbury Festival 2025 is fast approaching, and now we know the full timetable – and there's plenty to look forward to.

The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo are headlining the Pyramid stage across the three-day event, while Rod Stewart is taking the Legends slot, although the musician's appearance at the festival was recently thrown into doubt after he shared a health update.

The singer was expected to perform in Las Vegas on 7th June but took to social media hours before to share the news that he is continuing "to recover" from flu.

"I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu," he wrote in a statement posted on Instagram. "So sorry, my friends. I'm devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I'll be back on stage and we'll see you soon - Sir Rod."

The cancelled shows include performances on 7th, 8th and 10th June at The Colosseum Theater as well as 14th June at Lake Tahoe.

The star also cancelled concerts earlier in June, including on 1st and 5th June.

"I’m awfully sorry to have to cancel my show June 5th at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace," he wrote at the time. "My doctor ordered a bit more rest while I recover from the flu. Thanks for your love and understanding."

While there might be uncertainty around Stewart's appearance, there are also performances from stars including Doechii, Alanis Morissette, Biffy Clyro and The Prodigy to look forward to.

There's also an unheard-0f band called Patchwork set to perform on the main Pyramid Stage on the Saturday night, which is a fake name for a mystery guest – just as a similarly unheard-of band called The Churnips was listed for the Pyramid Stage in 2023 and turned out to be the Foo Fighters.

Wondering when the event is set to take place and whether you can still get hold of tickets, even if you missed out on initial sale? Read on for all the crucial information about Glastonbury 2025.

Glastonbury 2025 dates: When is the festival taking place?

The 2025 festival will take place from Wednesday 25th to Sunday 29th June at Worthy Farm.

And if you miss out, you could be in for a long wait for it to return, as organiser Emily Eavis explained that the event would be rested for 2026 in what's known as a "fallow year".

Speaking on the BBC's Sidetracked podcast in 2024, she said: "We are due a fallow year. The fallow year is important because it gives the land a rest, and it gives the cows a chance to stay out for longer and reclaim their land.

"I think it’s important, I think it gives everybody time to just switch off and the public as well. It is a lot, isn't it? Then you kind of go away for a bit and it feels lovely when you come back. And I think it’s quite good not [to] seem to be cashing in."

It was later officially confirmed on the Glastonbury website, with a note on the Info section reading: "We will be taking our next fallow year in 2026, in order to give the farm, the village and the festival team the traditional year off."

Glastonbury 2025 tickets: Are they still available?

Unfortunately, tickets have already sold out for Glastonbury 2025.

Tickets for Glastonbury are notoriously difficult to get hold of, with this year's festival selling out within 38 minutes back in November after the introduction of a divisive new ticket purchasing scheme.

The ticket resale has also been and gone, with the final batch of resale tickets for this year's festival selling out in 20 minutes.

The general admission resale tickets for the event in Somerset were released at 9am BST on Sunday April 27th, with the festival announcing they were sold out by 9:20am on X (Twitter).

Coach resale tickets also sold out earlier that week in about 30 minutes.

More information can be found on the Glastonbury website.

Alternatively, there are ways of volunteering for the festival for charities including WaterAid, Greenpeace and Oxfam, but you will have to work a certain number of hours in exchange for access to the festival.

You will have to provide your own transportation and camping equipment, but you will be provided with showers and food throughout the weekend.

You can find more information about the WaterAid, Greenpeace, and Oxfam schemes online and to check the status of applications.
