Former England National Cricket Team spinner Monty Panesar has revealed who will be the next Virat Kohli for the India National Cricket Team in Test cricket.
Monty Panesar surprisingly didn't name the India Test skipper Shubman Gill as the next Virat Kohli, instead, he went with his young Gujarat Titans (GT) opening partner.

The India National Cricket Team have started their preparations for the high-voltage Test series against the Ben Stokes-led side. They have already had a couple of practice sessions, and the players are putting in hard yards to get themselves ready for the games.
India tour of England 2025 will start on June 20, and the matches are scheduled to be played across Headingley in Leeds, Edgbaston in Birmingham, Lord’s in London, Old Trafford in Manchester, and The Oval in London.
Meanwhile, Monty Panesar has said that he wants the young Indian team to carry forward the legacy of Virat Kohli in the longest format of the game.
"The one thing that I want this Indian team to do is carry on the legacy of Virat Kohli. The way he played Test cricket. I would like to see the young Indian team play like that," Panesar told InsideSport.
Virat Kohli - the absolute GOAT
Kohli recently retired from Test cricket, and his legacy as India’s most successful and influential captain in the purest form of cricket is unmatched.
Kohli showcased an aggressive and relentless leadership style and transformed Team India into a dominant force in world cricket - in both home and away conditions. He led India in 68 Tests, the most by any Indian, with 40 wins, 17 losses, 11 draws, and a win percentage of 58.82%, the highest for an Indian Test captain.
Kohli scored 5,864 runs as skipper in 68 Tests at an average of 54.80, the most runs by an Indian Test captain, and overall he scored 9,230 runs at an average of 46.85 in 123 Tests.
He looks very aggressive; he looks fearless - Monty Panesar hails Sai Sudharsan
When Monty Panesar was asked if there is anyone who could become the next Kohli, he responded by naming Sai Sudharsan.
Monty Panesar said that the 23-year-old Tamil Nadu youngster is very aggressive and fearless in his approach and has the capability to be the next big superstar from India.
“Yeah, there are some really good youngsters in the team at the moment, and one particular batsman is the Surrey player. He played for Surrey as an overseas – Sai Sudharsan. He looks very aggressive; he looks fearless; he’s a player who has done well in English conditions, and he has done well for Surrey. So I think he could be the next superstar of Indian cricket and take on that role of what Virat Kohli did at No. 4," he added.
