As the dust settles from the springtime festival season, which included the Coachella Valley Music Festival among others, it’s clear the festival season in Southern California has been nothing short of spectacular — and sometimes wild.

From surprise guest appearances that sent social media into a frenzy, to sets that had crowds dancing under the stars and DJs passing out over their mixers, this year’s season of music mayhem (thus far) has lived up to the hype. Whether it was iconic legends sharing the stage or breakout artists owning the spotlight, this year’s festivals have reaffirmed why SoCal remains the beating heart of live music culture. We were there for all of it — soaking in the sun, the sounds, and those unforgettable moments that only festival life can deliver.

    But the fun doesn’t have to stop there. From Long Beach’s vibrant jazz notes to the thumping basslines echoing through San Bernardino’s sprawling venues, the festival calendar in Southern California is packed with events that cater to every kind of music lover.

    Cali Vibes 2025

    Cali Vibes brings the best in reggae, hip-hop, and R&B to Marina Green Park in Long Beach. This year, the lineup includes Kid Cudi, Stick Figure, Rebelution, Dirty Heads, Slightly Stoopid and friends, Iration, Ludacris, Santigold and more.     Day Trip Festival 2025

    Insomniac’s Day Trip Festival returns to the Queen Mary Waterfront in Long Beach for a weekend of house music featuring top-tier DJs and immersive experiences. This year’s lineup includes Armand Van Helden, Classmatic, Lauren Lane, Wax Motif, Duke Dumont, Ayybo, among others. Festivalgoers can expect multiple stages, including the High Tide, Deep End, and Shoreline stages, which will offer a diverse array of house and techno performances. The event also features afterparties aboard the Queen Mary, continuing the celebration into the early morning hours.

    Sound And Fury 2025

    Sound and Fury is a hardcore punk festival held in Los Angeles, known for showcasing some of the most intense and influential acts in the scene. This year’s lineup includes Knocked Loose, Basement, Project Pat, Midrift, Death Lens, Fatal Ream, Restraining Order, Mindforce, and Spy, among others.     Reggae on the Mountain 2025

This year’s lineup features Julian Marley, Sister Nancy, Marlon Asher, and Strawberry Fuzz, promising a vibrant mix of classic and contemporary sounds.     Hard Summer 2025

    HARD Summer returns to Hollywood Park in Los Angeles with a stacked lineup spanning house, techno, bass, hip-hop, and more. This year’s headliners include Feid and Dom Dolla, with other acts Crankdat, Nico Moreno, Four Tet, and Loco Dice taking the stage.

    Rhymefest 2025

    Rhymefest Festival focuses on hip-hop culture, with live performances, art installations, and community engagement. Taking place in Los Angeles, it spotlights legendary and upcoming MCs and DJs.

    Hard dance fans, get ready. Basscon Wasteland is set to take over the NOS Event Center in San Bernardino once again. Known for its explosive production and heart-pounding energy, this two-day festival will showcase some of the biggest names in hardstyle, hardcore, and beyond. This year’s lineup includes performances from Brennan Heart, AniMe, Alyssa Jolee, Audiofreq B2B Code Black, Cera Khin, Clawz, Anoluxx, Casska and more.

    One of the longest-running electronic music festivals in the U.S., Nocturnal Wonderland brings a multi-stage immersive experience featuring top DJs, art installations, and carnival rides. The lineup is slated to be announced within a month on all Insomniac Events social channels.

    Ohana Festival 2025

    Same Same But Different 2025

    Set along the scenic shores of Lake Perris, the Same Same But Different Festival is back for 2025 with an eclectic, genre-blending lineup. This year’s phase one announcement includes bands like Zeds Dead, LSZEE, Dr. Fresch, ALLEYCVT, Boogie T.rio, Łaszewo, DJ Susan, Opiuo, and more.
