Going strong! Dick Van Dyke and his wife, Arlene Silver, are more in love than ever.
Van Dyke, who will turn 100 years old on December 13, 2025, and Silver, 53, “treat every day as a gift,” a source told Closer Weekly in a report published on Wednesday, June 4.
“When a person is nearing 100, like Dick is, time is very omnipresent. He’s six months from 100 and counting down the days,” the insider added. “He wants to make it much further, so this isn’t some end milestone but he is very proud to be at his age and in such a great place in life.”

According to the source, Van Dyke “still works out with a personal trainer” and “eats healthy,” but it’s ultimately his relationship with Silver that keeps him going.
“He credits Arlene with his longevity, because she brings him so much happiness,” the insider gushed. “He can’t wait to get up in the morning to spend the day with her. And they’ve still got plenty of spark, they are always kissing and holding hands, it’s very sweet.”

Van Dyke himself has publicly praised Silver, whom he married in 2012, many times. “She is the best wife,” the actor told Malibu Times. “She’s made me the happiest man in the world. Our life is so good together.”
Of course, Silver is just as smitten. “We take very good care of each other,” she said. “But, I’m very aware that I have a national treasure on my hands … He’s the perfect human being, but he’s also the perfect partner,” the makeup artist told HuffPost.
