England and Pakistan cricketers have moved up the ICC Men’s Player Rankings following their series wins over Bangladesh and the West Indies, respectively. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris has reached his career-best rank in T20Is after finishing as the top scorer in the series against Bangladesh.
Pakistan secured a 3-0 series victory over Bangladesh on home soil. Mohammad Haris was named Player of the Series after his impressive batting performances. The 24-year-old wicketkeeper-batter finished as the highest run-getter of the series, amassing 179 runs at an explosive strike rate of 201.12.
Mohammad Haris scored an unbeaten 107 off just 46 balls in the final T20I against Bangladesh in Lahore. Haris has soared 210 spots in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings, climbing to a career-best 30th position.
Hasan Nawaz finished as the second-highest run-scorer of the series with 121 runs at a blistering strike rate of 198.36. He jumped 57 spots to a personal best of joint-45th in the rankings.
Among other batters, Saim Ayub gained four places to move up to 61st. Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha made a notable leap as well, advancing 42 spots to a joint 75th position. Tanzid Hasan, who scored 106 runs, climbed 28 positions to reach 53rd.
Abbas Afridi and Shadab Khan Make Notable Gains in ICC T20I Rankings
Pakistan’s bowlers also received a boost in the rankings following their series sweep over Bangladesh. Pacer Abbas Afridi impressed in the high-scoring final T20I, finishing with figures of 2/26. He jumped 18 places in the ICC Men’s T20I Bowling Rankings.
Vice-captain Shadab Khan was also rewarded in the all-rounder rankings. He picked up four wickets and scored 55 runs across two innings in the series. He rose 10 spots in the ICC Men’s T20I All-rounder Rankings.
Pakistan’s T20I squad is well-balanced in preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Notably, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi were not part of the Pakistan T20I squad.
England and West Indies Players Make Strides in ICC Men’s ODI Rankings
England completed a 3-0 series whitewash over the West Indies at home. Joe Root won the Player of the Series award with 267 runs, including a crucial unbeaten 166* in the second ODI. He moved up to 24th in the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings.
Ben Duckett continued his impressive run with two half-centuries against the West Indies. Duckett jumped three spots to 17th in the latest rankings. Harry Brook made valuable contributions throughout the series and climbed 15 places to 48th in the batting charts.
The West Indies had individual players who impressed and climbed the rankings. Keacy Carty was the second-highest run-scorer of the series, amassing 154 runs over three games. He hit his fourth ODI century in the second match against England. Carty rose four places to 12th in the Batting Rankings.
Alzarri Joseph took seven wickets, rising nine spots to 18th in the bowling rankings. His all-round skills were also on display as he contributed 41 valuable runs in the final ODI, pushing him six places up to joint 21st in the All-rounders Rankings.
