The open bus victory parade planned by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to celebrate their historic IPL triumph with the fans has been cancelled.
The Bengaluru Police has not given the franchise permission for the parade due to heavy traffic congestion in the city.
The Bengaluru-based outfit had announced a victory parade in the Garden City following their 6-run win over Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 final on Tuesday (June 3) at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The team was scheduled to reach Bengaluru at 1:30 PM IST, and the parade was set to take place after the arrival.
The parade was scheduled to begin around 3:30 PM IST at Vidhana Soudha, with M Chinnaswamy Stadium being the ending point.
However, the police have not given the permission for the parade. As a result, there will only be a felicitation ceremony for the team at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in the evening. Before going to the stadium, the RCB players and the support staff will also meet Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha.
