In the clip, viewers mostly got to see Isaac, 46, as Victor Frankenstein. However, a quick snippet of Elordi, 27, as Frankenstein's monster was also featured. The actor donned a black cloak with his face completely obscured, rendering Elordi him completely undetectable to fans.
"Victor!" the monster bellowed chillingly at the end of the trailer.
Originally, Andrew Garfield was supposed to play Frankenstein's monster in the movie but dropped out due to a scheduling conflict. The Spider-Man actor told Deadline he was "very, very glad" that Elordi took over the role.
The film also stars Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Christian Convery, Charles Dance and Christoph Waltz.
In the comments of the YouTube trailer, many fans declared the same sentiment.
One wrote, "This really deserves a Theater Release."
Another shared, "Guillermo Del Toro is too good for Netflix. This needs a theater release asap!!!!!."
Someone else echoed, "Guillermo del Toro is for theaters, not for Netflix. All that man makes its art. Release it in theaters!!!."
Meanwhile, yet another commented, "Wow the writing of these lines and Oscar Isaac's delivery is perfect. Good to see there is still some talent left in Hollywood."
Frankenstein is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in November 2025.
