Sister Wives star Janelle Brown claims that her ex-husband, Kody Brown, became ever more "villainous" than before to shield his legal wife Robyn Brown from blame regarding the family's implosion. She shares this truth bomb, and more explosive details, in the second installment of Season 19's one-on-one episodes.
In a YouTube video shared by Access Hollywood, Janelle claims that her ex-husband uses himself to deflect blame from his legal wife's behavior. Therefore, he becomes more unlikable leaving her reputation intact.
Janelle said to one-on-one host Sukanya Krishnan, "I feel like a lot of people want to pin the blame on Robyn. I don't think she is necessarily innocent in this. It takes two."
She continued, "I think in a lot of ways he's even more villainous I guess, to kind of take away some of the blame from her. This is just Gospel according to Janelle."

When asked by Krishnan if she could share more specific details, Janelle added, "I feel with all this stuff, with rewriting history and talking about the kids, I just feel like he wants the focus on himself, not so much on Robyn."
"Because there is a lot of accusations being thrown around about her," she continued. "That she broke up the family. That she never wanted the plural family."
Janelle believes that in the beginning, Robyn was "very much" a part of what the family continued to build as a unit of four wives with Kody at the center, and their shared children. She added that she never remembers her ex being "this mean."
"I've never seen him be so mean. All the rewriting of history, trying to hurt people," she concluded. "I feel like it's a smokescreen."
The one-on-one episodes were filmed in October 2024, seven months before airing. There are four installments in total.
A new episode of Sister Wives airs Sunday at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
