Days of Our Lives star Paul Telfer wants fans to be prepared for what’s coming up on the show.
The time has come for the Peacock soap to pay tribute to Drake Hogestyn, while saying goodbye to John Black. Hogestyn passed away last fall after a private battle with pancreatic cancer.
Even though Days fans have known John’s death was going to happen for months, the latest preview teaser for the show reveals just how heartbreaking it will be.
After the official Days of Our Lives Instagram account revealed the first look at the farewell to Hogestyn and John, Telfer popped up in the comments section with a message to fans.
“While obviously Xander isn’t part of this particular story, I was in studio when these scenes were taped. And…Y’all ain’t ready. This cast does an absolutely phenomenal job honoring Drake/John,” Telfer wrote.

The actor’s remark had several fans replying with their own thoughts regarding this heartbreaking goodbye.
“they are feeling real pain of loosing drake. No acting needed,” shared a fan. Another one added, “as someone who has been watching for 52 years, “ you got that right partner.”
Others expressed, “I’m not ready for the tears,” and “i will never be ready ..I’ve cried my eyes out this past week.”
Grab those tissues, Days of Our Lives fans, because it’s going to be one emotional roller coaster over the next few weeks.
Days of our Lives airs weekdays on Peacock.
