Spanish Grand Prix LIVE: UK start time, qualifying results, weather and how to watch as Piastri starts on pole

After the glamour of Monaco, the Formula One circuit rolls into Spain this weekend as the season continues.

It was glory for McLaren and Lando Norris last time out, as the Brit won the iconic race around the tight streets of the principality.

It was also a crucial result in the context of the Drivers’ Championship, with Norris cutting the gap to his teammate at the top to just three points.

It could prove a decisive point in the season, with Oscar Piastri looking better than Norris up until that point.

Meanwhile, for the chasing pack, the two McLaren drivers are starting to get away, with another 1-2 secured in qualifying.

It is looking increasingly unlikely that Max Verstappen is going to win a fifth consecutive title, and with the mid-season break approaching, there are fears he could leave if he slips too far down the table.

When is the Spanish Grand Prix?

The 2025 Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will take place from Friday, May 30 to Sunday, June 1.

The practice sessions are scheduled for 12:30 and 4pm UK time on Friday.

A third practice will be at 11:30am on Saturday before qualifying at 3pm.

Then it’s Lights Out at 2pm on Sunday.

The current weather forecast is saying it will be 26C and sunny for the majority of the weekend.
