ESPN chaos after emergency light starts flashing live on air after BEAR breaks into studio campus

ESPN is always bringing new talent onto their roster, but it seems a new character joined the set that wasn’t meant to.

Somehow, a bear got loose on ESPN’s campus in Bristol, Connecticut.

Joe Fortenbaugh and Q Myers hosted the noon slot on ESPN Radio when the situation unfolded.

Fortenbaugh told Myers that a yellow light was flashing all round ESPN’s 120 acre campus.

The campus is surrounded by wooded areas, and somehow a black bear snuck into the compound.

“This yellow emergency light has been flashing all over the campus for the last 15 minutes or so,” Fortenbaugh said.

“There’s no sound that comes with it. So, when you don’t accompany any sound with a flashing emergency light, nobody knows what the hell is going on.”

Eventually, Fortenbaugh learned that the light signaled there was a bear on campus.

“We finally got to the bottom of it, there’s a bear on the campus here of ESPN,” Fortenbaugh said.

“It is the bear alert. So, everyone on campus stay inside.

“There’s a black bear on the campus at the current moment.”

One of the show’s producers noted that anyone near the cafeteria could be in danger.

That building doesn’t require a badge to get in, and the doors open automatically when someone is nearby.

Fortenbaugh knew he was completely safe though, joking that no one even knows what radio is anymore.

“Radio, such an afterthought, the bear wouldn’t even know how to find us,” Fortenbaugh said.

“I’m going right to DC1 to find NFL Live.”

    'It was a short retirement!'

Jason Kelce didn't stay retired in the NFL for long.

The former Philadelphia Eagles lineman called it quits after the 2023 season.

But he will be part of ESPN’s coverage on Monday Night Football in 2024.

Kelce will appear on Monday Night Countdown from 6pm-8pm ET every week as well as during the halftime show.

“Turns out, it was a short retirement!” he joked.

“ESPN was a consistent presence in our household growing up and the network helped shape who I am and my love of all sports.

“To now appear on that same screen is a full circle moment.

“And, I mean it’s freaking Monday Night Football! and I’m ready for some football.”

Fans got a huge kick out of the scary situation, and shared their laughs on social media.

“Is that a Chicago Bear or a Boston Bruin?” one fan joked.

“Did he give Stephen A his take?” another fan said.

“The Bear was complaining about the CFB Playoff schedule,” a third fan said.

“This happens like once a month,” a fourth fan said.
