Mohammed Siraj, on Friday (May 30), suffered a huge injury scare during the ongoing IPL 2025 Eliminator between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.
The incident took place in the 18th over of the Mumbai Indians innings when Mohammed Siraj was bowling the last over of his spell. After bowling the third ball of the over, the right-arm pacer was seen clutching his hamstring and sat down on the field.
The physio came running onto the field to have a look and helped the pacer stretch his back hamstring. With just three more deliveries left in the over, Siraj got up and completed his over.
With less than a month remaining for the five-match Test series against England to start, the Indian team management will be hoping that the injury is not serious. The much-awaited series is scheduled to get underway on June 20.

Gujarat Titans will also be hoping the same if they beat Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator and qualify for the second qualifier. Mohammed Siraj completed his quota by taking 1 wicket for 37 runs in his 4 overs.

Mohammed Siraj's season so far
Mohammed Siraj has not looked at his best especially in the second half of the ongoing tournament. The pacer began the tournament in a fine fashion. In the first 5 games, he picked up an impressive 7 wickets in just 14 overs in the powerplay while maintaining an economy-rate of less than 7.
However, the India star has struggled with his form in the second half of the season. He did not pick a single wicket in the last three league games for Gujarat Titans before finally ending the streak with a wicket in the ongoing Eliminator. Overall, Mohammed Siraj has taken 16 wickets in 15 games so far while having an economy-rate of 9.24.
Mumbai Indians post big total
Talking about the match, Mumbai Indians have posted a big total of 228/5 in the allotted 20 overs. Rohit Sharma led the charge with the bat for the five-time champions, smashing 81 runs off 50 balls with the help of 9 fours and 4 sixes.
The likes of Jonny Bairstow (47), Suryakumar Yadav (33), Tilak Varma (25) and Hardik Pandya (22*) also played important knocks. In reply, Gujarat Titans were on 30/1 after 3 overs at the time of writing this report.
