The Eliminator of the ongoing IPL 2025 is being currently played between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians. The match is taking place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.
MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bat first. Both teams have been forced to make several changes to their playing elevens due to the departure of some players because of national duties.
GT have added Kusal Mendis and Washington Sundar to their playing eleven to replace Jos Buttler and Arshad Khan respectively.
On the other hand, MI have made as many as three changes to their team for the do-or-die game. They have included Jonny Bairstow, Raj Angad Bawa, and Richard Gleeson in the playing eleven.

The match did not begin on a good note for GT. Asked to bowl first, GT were close to taking the big wicket of Rohit Sharma in the very second over of the innings but Gerald Coetzee dropped an absolute sitter.
On the fifth ball of the second over, Prasidh Krishna bowled a back-of-a-length delivery and Rohit Sharma decided to go for the pull. However, the former MI captain could not make a good connection with the ball and ended up miscuing his shot behind square on the leg side.
It was a regulation catch but Coetzee somehow failed to hold on to the ball and gave Rohit Sharma a big reprieve. As soon as the catch was dropped, the cameras caught actress Avneet Kaur's reaction in the stands. Kaur was cheering for the Titans and looked disappointed after Coetzee failed to complete the catch.
