Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives ended on a major cliffhanger about Marciano Brunette‘s alleged affair with Jessi Ngatikaura, but luckily filming didn’t end there — and season 3 could be here before we know it.
The hit Hulu series, which premiered in September 2024, introduced Us to a group of Mormon mom influencers in Utah. Season 1 was made up of Jessi, Jen Affleck, Demi Engemann, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Taylor Frankie Paul and Layla Taylor.
After becoming a success, season 2 returned less than a year later with Miranda McWhorter rounding out the cast. In addition to dramatic exits from MomTok, feuds between cast members and relationship issues, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives introduced a surprising plot twist when Marciano (of Vanderpump Villa fame) claimed to have grown close to Demi — who is married — only to come on the show at the end of season 2 alleging he had an affair with Jessi — who is also married.
The second season ended on the dramatic reveal but luckily season 3 is already in the works. As viewers await more episodes, the cast has kept Us on the edge of our seats with their comments on various podcasts and interviews.
How Many Cheating Scandals Were Explored on 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives'?
While Jessi couldn’t “say much” about Marciano’s allegations that they had an onscreen romance, she hinted in May 2025 there was “so much more” to the story.
“Relationships are hard and they’re nuanced. There’s so much more that I’m excited to share because I think people will be able to relate to my story,” she shared on “The Viall Files” podcast. “I think it may help people.”

Has the Show Been Renewed?
The first season, which premiered in September 2024, became an overnight success for Hulu. The streaming service followed it up with a 20-episode renewal, with season 2 consisting of 10 episodes. The next 10 episodes are expected to air later in 2025 as season 3.
When Does Filming Start?
While speaking exclusively to Us Weekly in May 2025, Whitney confirmed the cast was “filming right now.” The cast has teased that cameras kept filming even after season 2 wrapped, which means there aren’t large gaps between the onscreen events.
Where Does Demi Stand With the Cast Amid Filming?
Disney/Natalie CassSeason 2 was rough for Demi, who was at odds with most of MomTok. By the time promotion for season 2 began, Demi was largely only friends with Whitney and not on speaking terms with everyone else.
“There’s definitely things that I didn’t agree with what Demi did — and I’ll tell that to her face. She already knows that,” Whitney told Us. “But I think just more than anything, I just know that everyone is always going through something.”
Despite disagreeing with some of Demi’s behavior, Whitney defended their friendship, saying, “There’s a reason they’re reacting the way that they’re reacting and in this group, what I like to believe that the intent is to not be malicious or to intentionally hurt people. It’s so much deeper than that and unfortunately hurt people, hurt people.”
Whitney also weighed in on Demi’s future in MomTok.
“You have to compartmentalize relationships in this group and for Demi, she is an adult. If she wants to leave and doesn’t want to be a part of it anymore, that’s going to be her decision,” she told Us. “But I don’t need to go and follow suit and be like, ‘OK, peace out too.’ If I wanted to leave, then that has to be my own decision. I’m not going to do it because somebody else has left.”

Will Marciano’s Claims Be Addressed?

Disney; Getty Images; DisneySeason 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives ended with a “To Be Continued” message and additional footage from the fallout of Marciano’s claims. While he said in a voiceover that the situation is “so much bigger” than others think, Jessi’s husband, Jordan, called the rumors into question.
“This is going to be headlines. The truth always reveals itself,” Jordan said while in another scene accusing the drama of being “Demi’s doing” behind the scenes.
Jessi, meanwhile, appeared to blame Demi as well for spreading misinformation. “He knows that this is ruining my family and my life,” she shared before saying Demi was “making it up” when it came to the affair claims.
Who Else Has Joined the Conversation Outside of the Cast?
Scheana Shay, who was previously friendly with Demi, Marciano and Jessi, shared her take on the situation before season 3 premiered.
“I have no NDA signed. I can say whatever the f*** I want,” Scheana shared on her podcast in May 2025. “I have Marciano insinuating and alluding to, like, ‘Yeah, that happened last night.’ I’m like, ‘Jessi, I know both of your locations were in the same place.’ She goes, ‘No. He went and saw another girl and didn’t want to go back into your house that late in the middle of the night. He asked if he could come crash in my hotel room and he just slept on the little, like, couch chair.”
Have There Been Offscreen Developments?

“I will say that reality TV is hard on any relationship, whether it’s a friendship or a marriage,” Jessi revealed on an episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “We’ve been through a lot and now it’s going to be public.”
Jessi confirmed she currently wasn’t wearing her wedding ring while she and Jordan are “working through things,” adding, “We’re trying our best — but things are a little tricky right now. I’m excited to hopefully someday share more about that. But right now it’s just real life and it’s hard.”
Host Nick Viall then asked Jessi, who has three kids, whether she considered Jordan a “role model” that her daughters should look for in a husband.
“No, I think that there’s been a lot that’s happened,” she admitted. “I think that he and I are both willing to work on things and change. But maybe he should be asked that question because that might wake him up. But no, I think there’s a lot of things that have needed to change.”
Viall, meanwhile, hinted that he “heard some things” about Jordan he was “really disappointed” to find out.
“I hope they’re not true. Clearly, you can’t tell me,” he said. “But your answer is revealing. I’d love the opportunity to talk with him about some of the things I have heard if they end up being true because it’s really quite sad and disappointing.”

Has Jessi Addressed Marciano’s Claims?
Jessi clarified that there was more to the story, telling Bustle in May 2025, “I will say that it’s not what he made it sound [like]. What he said was not accurate. I wish I could speak now. … Honestly, yeah, he’s a piece of s***.”
Could More MomTok Members Make an Appearance?
Araya Doheny/Getty ImagesMiranda joined the cast of season 2 after being named as one of the members of Taylor’s soft swinging scandal. Camille Munday, meanwhile, was named but has denied being part of the scandal or having plans to join the show.
In May 2025, fan speculation swirled after Camille filmed multiple TikToks with Taylor and Miranda.
“It’s out of my control and they have a show to do. So I don’t see how it wouldn’t be happening,” Taylor told Us in October 2024 about reuniting with OG MomTok members on screen. “A lot of those things will be triggering — and when it comes to it — I’ll have to face it. At this point it’s just out of my control.”
According to Taylor, Camille reached out to congratulate her on the show. Miranda, however, wasn’t as friendly.
“There’s some animosity there from me exposing my story and knowing that she’s probably the one people allude to. So she probably feels all this animosity toward me,” she explained to Us. “I’ve called her out on certain things so I don’t know if she’s a huge fan of me. I could imagine it’s extremely uncomfortable for her to have to come on if she chose to. I think she knows that she’d have to talk about things if she is never talked about as well.”
