DENVER (KDVR) — Severe weather hit across Colorado on Sunday, May 18, with tornadoes sighted across the northeastern plains.
As of mid-afternoon, several tornado warnings and watches had been reported across the eastern plains, with tornadoes confirmed to have touched down near Bennett.
Although metro Denver may see some showers or thunderstorms, severe weather is not expected along the I-25 corridor.
The weather comes on the heels of deadly severe weather across much of the Midwest, with The Associated Press reporting that at least 27 people were killed during the aggressive storms, including 18 people in Kentucky.
