Anonymous Powerball players sitting on two $50k tickets that will expire soon – they’ve already lost out on extra cash

POWERBALL players have been told to check their drawers, glove boxes and coat pockets for tickets worth $50,000.

One of the winning tickets must be claimed by mid-June, while the other expires in late August.

The first Powerball prize was won at a draw held in Urbandale, Iowa in late December.

If the winner does not come forward to claim the prize by June 26, 2025, it will be forfeited.

The second ticket was won at a draw that took place in Davenport, Iowa in early March.

The prize will be gone for good if the winner does not claim it by August 28, 2025.

Prizes expire 180 days after the drawing date.

Meanwhile, another prize worth $50,000 must be claimed by mid-June – or the prize will be gone for good.

This prize was won at a draw held in Louisiana in mid-December.

Powerball is an American lottery game held in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

It is overseen by the Multi-State Lottery Association – which runs other large jackpot games lie the Mega Millions.

Players pick five “white balls” from a pool of 69 and one “Powerball” from a pool of 26 – a combination that makes every jackpot win a rarity.

This amounts to jackpot odds of 1 in 292,201,338 per play.

But Powerball is not the only game with unclaimed prizes.

A Mega Millions ticket from a draw held in Louisiana in December last year also remains unclaimed.

That ticket is worth $40,000 and expires on June 15.

Another December lotto winner – this time from Arizona – has yet to come forward.

Their ticket is worth $10,000 and must be claimed by June 15.

Another $10,000 ticket sold in Colorado for the December draw remains unclaimed – it expires on June 22.

From another December draw in Colorado, a ticket worth $30,000 has not been claimed – it expires on June 25.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are one in 290.4 million.
