Rock band Lord Buffalo abruptly canceled its tour after its drummer, Yamil Said, was detained by ICE at an airport—and now, a bodycam video of the arrest has surfaced.
On Wednesday, May 14, the band announced the tour's cancellation on social media.

"We are heartbroken to announce we have to cancel our upcoming European tour," Lord Buffalo shared. "Our drummer, Yamal Said, who is a Mexican citizen and lawful permanent resident of the United States (green card holder) was forcibly removed from our flight to Europe by Customs and Border Patrol at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Monday, May 12."
The band explained, "He has not been released, and we have been unable to contact him. We are currently working with an immigration lawyer to find out more information and to attempt to secure his release."

On May 17, bodycam footage from the arrest was released. It showed Said speaking with officers about a felony arrest warrant issued in October for allegedly violating a restraining order.
In the clip, Said calmly talked to police before he was placed under arrest. He explained that a custody case over his daughter wrapped up in December, speculating that packages and letters he sent may have been reported as violations.
Although he was frustrated that the warrant wasn't addressed while in court in December, he complied with officers.
Said is now being held at a jail in Tarrant County, Texas, on a $40,000 bond, under the name Saad Saidbaca, KUT reported.

In addition to Said, Lord Buffalo's band members include Daniel Pruitt, Garrett Hellman and Patrick Patterson. They were hopeful they could eventually reschedule the tour after Said's situation is sorted out.
