Watching the Denver Nuggets every game offers a new appreciation for a willingness to compete when circumstances aren’t perfect.
The Nuggets have had a tough season. They don’t have a perfect team. They currently don’t have a permanent head coach or general manager. They’re playing the best team in the NBA. And yet, they just keep rolling despite difficult circumstances. It doesn’t matter what the battle is, because the Nuggets are simply willing to fight, a welcome development in a season I didn’t expect to see such resolve.
On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn reacts to the Denver Nuggets Game 6 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder that saw Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray lock in at the right time. Julian Strawther had himself a game off the bench, and the Nuggets did enough to get past the Thunder despite what may be an impact injury to Aaron Gordon.
Ryan breaks down the Game 6 win, Murray’s flu game performance, Strawther’s great night, and the best two words in sports: Game 7.
