RAPPER Dave Blunts has quit his tour after he was rushed to hospital due to serious health concerns.
The 23-year-old, who has previously sparked concern with fans over his weight, has had to take a step away from the spotlight whilst he recovers.
Blunts was on his North American tour but has now cancelled his remaining shows.
The rapper took to Instagram to share a message with his fans whilst seated on a hospital bed and hooked up to an oxygen machine.
He began: “This message is for my fans.
“I love my fans so very much. You guys have turned my life from poverty into luxury in less than a year.
“And I feel indebted to you guys for that. I now can take care of my family, my friends, and my mom and everybody that I love because of you guys who listen to my music.
He continued: “Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish the tour and because I’m in the hospital and I’m sick and I’m hooked up to oxygen and all this **** going on, I have to cancel my tour. I’m very sorry.”
Blunts stressed that taking care of himself was now a top priority for his career and future.
He said: “That **** saddens me. I’m not going to be able to sleep for a little bit because of this. But it’s time for me to prioritise my health.
“I need to focus on eating right, exercising, and getting better because that **** is for my fans and not only for my fans, for me. I need to focus on me.
“So, I’m going to be taking a brief hiatus from the internet, from music, and truly just focus on exercising, eating right, and bettering myself. Not for the fans. Not for the ******. Myself.
“So, I love y’all, and I’m sorry I gotta cancel the tour,” he added.
Throughout the two minute video he said he will avoid drama with his rivals.
Originating from Salt Lake City Blunts first gained attention in the underground rap scene through his raw and unapologetic lyrical style.
His most notable songs include “The Cup” and “Talking to the Sun,” which gained viral traction on platforms like TikTok in 2024.
Last year, he sparked concern after he attended an event dedicated to the late rapper Juice Wrld.
The young rapper, who weighed 500lbs at the time, performed at the event while seated and was aided by an oxygen tank.

Reacting to the rapper, fans were quick to comment, with one person writing: “People laugh and all of that but please someone need to help him we all know how this will end… “
A second then said: “Save this man please,” while a third wrote: “Bro needs to get healthy.”
A fourth then said: “He needs to shed a lot of weight for his health.”
Blunts continues to maintain his honesty about his health struggles, and recent hospitalisations as he hopes to make a return to the spotlight soon.
