"The prince told me his daughter is doing the 400m at the minute and the hurdles and that she did watch me in Paris," said Hodgkinson, sharing specific running events that Charlotte is working on.
The Olympic athlete also shared the encouraging comments she got from William, noting, "He told me that he remembers me winning and that he wished he could be there to see it himself." Hodgkinson won gold for the United Kingdom in the 800-meter race at the Paris Olympics. Afterward, she was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
Running isn't Charlotte's only sporty interest, as she has reportedly been playing soccer (or football) and netball as well.
When William visited the England women's football team in 2022, Charlotte had a stern request for her father. William told team captain Leah Williamson, via The Independent, "Charlotte wanted me to tell you that she’s really good in goal. She said, ‘Please tell them that.' Budding star for the future!”
