Morgan Wallen is full of surprises! On Saturday (June 28) evening, the heavy hitter brought out fellow country star Ella Langley during night one of his two-night headlining stint at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin.
The pair collaborated on the fan-favorite duet “What I Want” from the East Tennessee native’s latest ambitious 37-track album, I’m The Problem. While the tune (Wallen’s first female collaboration) is originally sung with pop star Tate McRae, Langley, who has been on the road for select dates of Wallen’s I’m The Problem Tour, filled in in McRae’s absence, channeling the female parts of the R&B-tinged country song.
A few ticket holders at the concert shot a video of the Langley/Wallen surprise duet, with some clips drawing both positive and negative reactions from fans. Some fans pointed out the lack of chemistry between the pair, while others felt the pair were a perfect match onstage.

A third person wrote, “It should have been Ella on this song to begin with.” Meanwhile, another user captioned, “They sound really good singing together. She can sing with anyone ?.”
In a separate video on TikTok, fans seemed to want to let their imaginations run wild as several pointed out the seemingly effortless connection between the two artists.

“It’s like a first date ?. Of course, they’d make an amazing couple!” Another person wrote. “Ella is humble and very cool, but if they date and Morgan doesn’t treat her like a queen, he’d be in huge trouble because she’s a dolly.”
Langley wasn’t the only artist to share the stage with Wallen. Miranda Lambert, who served as direct support for the show, also teamed up with the 32-year-old chart-topper for an electrifying performance of “Cowgirls.”
Wallen’s performance at Camp Randall Stadium served as the first live show in 30 years for the stadium. The last concert held at the University of Wisconsin-Madison football stadium was in 1997, when The Rolling Stones hosted as part of their Bridges to Babylon tour, and U2 brought their PopMart tour to the field. Wallen will return to the stadium for night two on Sunday (June 29), bringing another round of energy to the fans.
