Westbound Interstate 70 is closed Thursday morning near Vail for a multi-vehicle crash, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
As of 7 a.m., the westbound interstate was closed between exit 190 for Vail Pass Summit and exit 180 for East Vail, about one mile west of Copper Mountain, CDOT officials said.
Cameras in the area of the crash at 7 a.m. showed snow-packed roads and multiple emergency vehicles.
It’s unknown what caused the crash, how many cars were involved and when I-70 will reopen.
