SAN FRANCISCO — Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo was ejected from Wednesday’s game against the San Francisco Giants, and he reacted by telling the umpires they were the ones ejected.

The D-backs led 8-6 with two outs in the bottom of the eighth. The Giants had a runner on first base with Heliot Ramos at the plate. Ramos hit a ground ball down the third-base line, which D-backs third baseman Eugenio Suarez fielded and threw to first.
Ramos beat the throw, but the Diamondbacks tagged out baserunner Christian Koss, who was lying in the basepath past second.
Koss rounded second base and ran into second baseman Jordan Lawlar, dropping down in a heap.
The umpire crew met and decided to give Koss second base due to interference, charging Lawlar with an error.

Lovullo made his way out of the dugout and quickly became visibly livid with the explanation. After getting tossed, he pointed to all four umpires and motioned to throw them all out instead as the home crowd booed.
The conversation continued with bench coach Jeff Banister before play resumed.
D-backs pitcher Ryne Nelson forced a Wilmer Flores pop-up to end the inning and maintain the lead.
Lovullo has been ejected twice this season and 22 times in his major league managerial career.
He got his money’s worth with that one.
