Sean Penn fans expressed serious concern after seeing the actor's "rough" appearance in a new video interview.
On Monday, May 12, the Mystic River star, 64, appeared on the Louis Theroux Podcast. The men discussed a variety of topics, including Penn's impression of Donald Trump after meeting him years ago.

During the sit-down, Penn labeled Trump a "salesman."
"I think the people will look back and see that he was extremely smart for his time and what it valued," he continued in a clip from the interview Louis Therouxshared via X. "But what he values is so base that I won't equate that with intelligence. It's truly void of soul."
Additionally, Penn explained, "It actively engages in cruelty, often. And to watch that...You know, when we talk about, whether it's what Elon Musk is doing now for him, with him, I don't know if there's any thought behind it at all—except to value destruction of things and people.
He then boldly declared, "I can't associate that with any intelligence that's going to do humankind any good."

"Homeboy sure looks rough," one person shared.
"2 years younger than me and looks a decade older!" someone else agreed.

"64 going on 90," a different commenter snarked, as another echoed, "That’s a hard 64."
Parade reached out to Penn's rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
In 2018, Penn sparked concern after an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
The actor admitted to Stephen Colbert, "I’m doing well. You’ve inherited a little of the Ambien I had to take to get to sleep after a red-eye last night."
He also smoked two cigarettes during the interview, prompting Colbert to address the habit.
