But Coach accessories don’t come in cheap – and are likely to set you back a few hundred dollars.
So it’s no wonder that people are looking for budget dupes elsewhere, with one person taking a chance with a copycat version from Shein.
Angeline explained that she managed to get the copy of Coach’s Lana 23 bag for $12.50, as opposed to $395 for the real thing.
And while she couldn’t get the exact color of bag to be a complete dupe for her “interesting experiment”, she was still stunned by the likenesses between the two accessories.
“One positive is that the Shein one closes, and has a zipper,” she said, but added it didn’t look much like the photo on the Shein website, which looked “closer to the real thing”.

Reddit user AngelineIn her own pictures comparing the two bags, she showed that the handles on the dupe were bending outwards, rather than inwards like on the real thing.
But when someone asked if Angeline couldn’t have just “flipped the handles the correct way”, she replied: “Yes, I could. But being realistic, this thing does not like to stay that way.
“I used it for a week, and every time I pick it up, it’s so flimsy that it wants to bend back to the wrong way.
“So I figured I’d present it the way it naturally sits!”
“I’m glad you tried it, I was so curious,” another wrote.
“I got the small black one too my daughter is using it now and I got the large one from my seller,” a third added.
“It’s pretty good – obviously doesn’t have the branding but it’s decent!”
“How’s the feel of the bag overall? Is it stiff?” someone else questioned.
With Angeline responding: “No it’s not still at all, it’s actually really soft – the authentic actually feels super stiff compared to this one.”
She went on to say that she’d used the dupe for a week to “see how it felt”.
“To be honest, it’s a very comfortable and convenient bag,” she continued.
“And I don’t have to worry about messing it up/scratching it/bending it the wrong way like I would the Coach one.
“For $12 I honestly love it – even if it’s a very obvious fake lol.”
She also insisted that she hadn’t held back on “abusing” the bag during the week, and it has “yet to show that many abnormal signs of wear, no scratches, no peeling etc.”.
“Dust does cling to it as you can see in the last pic with the flash but that’s about it!” she concluded.
