LOS ANGELES LAKERS star LeBron James paid an emotional tribute to his late grandmother on Mother’s Day.
LeBron, 40, is one of the greatest NBA stars of all time and he credits a lot of that to his grandma Freda James and the impact she had in his life.
Freda supported the ex-Cleveland Cavaliers star’s mother Gloria James during his early years with immense devotion.
But unfortunately she passed away just three years after the Lakers superstar’s birth in 1987 due to cardiac arrest at the age of 42.
But that has never stopped the former Miami Heat star from honouring her memory.
And this year LeBron paid his respects to Freda’s grave on Sunday during Mother’s Day.
The four-time NBA champion left a bouquet of flowers to honor his beloved grandmother.
And the four-time MVP shared a snap of his classy gesture in a story on Instagram.
He followed it up with another snap of his two other favorite moms – Gloria and his wife Savannah James, with whom he has three children.
This comes after SunSport revealed LeBron is not planning to retire just yet.
The Lakers megastar found himself at a pivotal crossroads in his illustrious 11-year career after a crushing playoff defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves abruptly ended his season.
The 4-1 series loss brought his campaign to a premature close, leaving many questioning what’s next for the basketball icon.
Lebron remained tight-lipped in the aftermath of the defeat, telling reporters he “didn’t know” what the future held.
He also suffered a knee injury during the playoffs which forced him to miss the Met Gala in New York.
But sources have told us King James still has unfinished business in the league.
