Players like Sai Sudharsan and Karun Nair could be included in the India squad for the Test series.

Karun Nair Contends for India Squad Spot After Strong 2024-25 Domestic Season
Karun Nair, who last played for India in 2017, is in line for a long-awaited return to the national team. He came into contention for a spot in the squad after his impressive performances during the 2024-25 domestic season with Vidarbha. Nair scored his maiden triple-century against England in 2016.
Nair dominated in the Ranji Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He played a crucial role in the title win in the 2024/25 Ranji Trophy, amassing 863 runs in 16 innings at an average of 53.93 with four centuries and two half-centuries. The batter was the second-highest run-scorer for Vidarbha, behind Yash Rathod.
Nair's performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy was equally impressive, where he was the tournament's top scorer with 779 runs in 9 matches at a remarkable average of 389.50, including a record-breaking five centuries and a half-century across just eight innings.
India's Test Series Against England to Begin at Headingley on June 20
Sarfaraz Khan, who was included in India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy squad, did not get an opportunity to play during the series. The right-handed batter made his Test debut last year against England. However, he sustained an injury earlier this year, and there has been no update on his recovery.
India's Test series against England will kick off at Headingley on June 20, with the remaining matches scheduled at Birmingham (July 2-6), Lord's (July 10-14), Old Trafford (July 23-27), and The Oval (July 31-August 4).
The Men in Blue have not won a Test series in England since 2007. During their 2021-22 tour, they were leading 2-1 before the final Test was delayed due to COVID-19. When the series resumed almost a year later, England won and prevented India from securing the series victory.
