Ferrari’s dominance in the 2024 World Endurance Championship rolled on this weekend, as the No. 51 crew of James Calado, Antonio Giovinazzi, and Alessandro Pier Guidi clinched a hard-fought victory in the 6 Hours of Spa, securing the Prancing Horse’s third consecutive win of the season.
The all-Italian squad edged out their teammates in the No. 50 Ferrari 499P — Nicklas Nielsen, Miguel Molina, and Antonio Fuoco — by just four seconds in a dramatic battle that kept fans on edge until the checkered flag.
Completing the Hypercar podium was the Alpine A424 LMDh, driven by Frédéric Makowiecki, Jules Gounon, and Mick Schumacher, who held off intense pressure from BMW and Peugeot to take third.
Though Ferrari locked out the front row in Friday’s Hyperpole session, the race in Belgium proved anything but a cruise. The Maranello manufacturer had to fend off fierce competition from a resurgent Alpine squad and hungry challengers from BMW and Peugeot, but strategic execution and pace ultimately carried the day.
With the result, Ferrari extends its lead in the FIA WEC Constructors' Championship with 136 points, while the Calado–Giovinazzi–Pier Guidi trio solidify their top spot in the Drivers’ standings with 75 points — a commanding lead over teammates Fuoco, Molina, and Nielsen.
Next up is the crown jewel: the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 14–15. Ferrari will return to Circuit de la Sarthe aiming for a historic three-peat, having already triumphed there in 2023 and 2024. Can they do it again? The countdown is on.
