In a significant move to bolster Malaysia’s esports presence on the international stage, MOONTON Games and the Malaysia Esports Federation (MESF) have forged a partnership. The two entities signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Saturday, May 10th, during Week 4 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia Season 15. It outlines their collaborative efforts to support the national Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) teams for the upcoming 2025 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand.
MOONTON Games Partners MESF
This strategic alliance will see MOONTON Games provide crucial financial, technical, and promotional support to MESF. This support aims to streamline the selection process, enhance the preparation, and amplify the representation of both the Men’s and Women’s MLBB teams as they compete in the prestigious regional sporting event scheduled for December 2025.
Muhammad Naim Al-Amin, President of MESF, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We have been working closely with MOONTON Games for a long time. With their support, our goal is to achieve Gold at the SEA Games and continue the champion momentum for the IESF [World Esports Championship 2025]. For IESF, we will work closely with Todak and other teams to bring the best team to represent the country.”
Echoing this sentiment, Fikri Rizal Mahruddin, Malaysia Esports Lead at MOONTON Games, highlighted the broader vision behind the collaboration: “While this MOA is for SEA Games, our collaboration with MESF is deeper than that. We believe that growing this industry in Malaysia requires all parties to work together, and with MESF, we do not just want to grow esports in Malaysia but also position Malaysia as the esports hub in this region.”
