Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken a massive step for the domestic cricket tournaments amid the tensions between India and Pakistan. The governing body has postponed all the events with immediate effect due to prevailing security conditions at the borders.
India and Pakistan are engaged in a war-type situation, which has created a massive panic across both countries. The two neighbouring nations have launched drones and missile attacks on each other, apart from firing at the line of control (LOC) at several points.
The tensions between India and Pakistan have also seen cricket in both nations getting hampered as well. While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended the IPL 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also suspended the PSL 2025.
Not only this, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also suspended the President’s Trophy Grade-II, Regional Intra-District Challenge Cup, and Inter-District U19 One-Day tournament. They released an official statement about the same, saying that tournaments have been postponed due to security conditions.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also mentioned that the tournament will begin from the same stage where it stopped. Before adding that, they will soon share about the resumption of the events. The statement read:
"The Pakistan Cricket Board confirms that the ongoing President’s Trophy Grade-II, Regional Intra-District Challenge Cup, Inter-District U19 One-Day tournament have been postponed with immediate effect due to prevailing security conditions in the country.
"The tournaments will resume from the same stage later and a revised schedule will be shared closer to the resumption."
Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 was suspended after the UAE refused to host the remainder of the league
The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 was also suspended after the PCB attempted to host it in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Firstly, the league was shifted from Rawalpindi to Karachi, but after that, they decided to host the tournament in a Gulf country.
However, the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) refused the proposal, and hence, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had to take the harsh step and suspend the league. There is no official confirmation as to when the league will begin, but the governing body will be taking the call, keeping in mind the situation.
Not only this, the BCCI also suspended the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The tensions in India rose when the game between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was called off in the middle of the first innings. Following that, the governing body made a decision and postponed the league.
So far, they have suspended the league for one week and mentioned that they will be taking the call after analyzing the situation further.
With tensions between India and Pakistan flaring up each day, it remains to be seen when the tournaments will resume in both India and Pakistan.
