THE Kansas City Chiefs have been tipped for one of their biggest trades in recent history.
After the team‘s brutal February Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles they looked to strengthen, with a cornerback a need.
They signed former Los Angeles Chargers Kristian Fulton and drafted California’s Nohl Williams in the third round but they might not be finished.
Reports have suggested this could be the year that the Dallas Cowboys cut ties with two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs, 27, with the Chiefs a likely new home.
NFL writer Palacios said: “[Diggs] has similar experience to Trent McDuffie and could help disrupt the aerial attack.”
Diggs was originally selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft and had a promising first season.
He led the team with 14 passes defended and three interceptions before being struck down with injuries and bouncing back for a breakout campaign with 42 solo tackles.
The cornerback has 20 career interceptions in 57 games.
Yet the Cowboys drafted one of the highest ranked players in Shavon Revel Jr. from East Carolina so there might not be a place for Diggs anymore.
They are also on the verge of giving a huge contract to linebacker Micah Parsons.

This would leave them unlikely to hold on to Diggs aswell who has a mammoth contract of five years, $97 million running through 2028.
If the Chiefs decide to go big then, the Cowboys would look to cooperate.
The offseason is crucial for the team after missing out on a third Super Bowl in three years in catastrophic fashion, losing 40-22.
