This Sunday 11 May is the date of the 2025 Bafta Television Awards, celebrating the best of the previous year’s small screen successes.

The Royal Festival Hall in London will be hosting the star-studded event.

Proceedings will begin in the afternoon, although there will be a slight delay before it is broadcast.

How can I watch the show?

The ceremony will be broadcast from 7pm (BST), on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, and is expected to finish at 9pm.

Ahead of the main event, fans can also catch all the excitement live from the red carpet with comedians Suzi Ruffell and Tom Allen, streaming on Bafta’s YouTube channel here.

Presenter Charley Marlowe will be Bafta’s TikTok host and Hits Radio presenter Will Best will be the official red-carpet DJ, bringing the party to guests as they arrive.

Scottish actor Alan Cumming will host the ceremony this year.

The 60-year-old, who is also a recipient of a Bafta Scotland Award in 2018 for outstanding contribution to film and television, will be in charge of ensuring events go smoothly.

Although Emma Baehr, executive director of awards and content at Bafta, did sound a note of caution: “We’re delighted that Alan Cumming will be hosting this year’s Bafta Television Awards with P&O Cruises, he will definitely bring a playful sense of mischief and fun to the ceremony, so audiences should expect the unexpected at Britain’s biggest celebration of TV.”

Cumming is known for films such as Goldeneye, Emma, Eyes Wide Shut and Burlesque and television shows such as The Good Wife, Instinct and more recently as host of the US version of The Traitors.

Who are the 2025 Bafta TV Awards nominees?

The nominees for this year’s Bafta TV Awards are listed across 27 categories. There are also two separate awards, the Bafta Fellowship honouring outstanding contribution and the Bafta Special Award celebrating exceptional impact, which both have just one nominee.
