Notts County vs AFC Wimbledon prediction

Notts County are the favourites to win this despite placing just behind AFC Wimbledon by a point.

Both sides didn’t really end the season too well with just one win in their last five matches.

Wimbledon ended on a win to claim the home game for the second leg but it may not be an advantage as the play-offs all come down to how these players handle the pressure on the big occasion.

That was evident in Bristol City vs Sheffield United on Thursday night as City went down to ten men in the first half, and paid for it losing 3-0.

These two sides have only faced each other six times and Wimbledon have been the clear winners overall.

However, Notts County did win for the first time over Wimbledon in October also at Meadow Lane, winning 1-0.

But on the reverse fixture saw a 2-0 loss.

Wimbledon’s home form is incredible strong but Notts County are in second in League Two when it comes to the away league table.

Wimbledon are all the way down in ninth when it comes to away games though and Notts County haven’t made Meadow Lane a fortress by any means as they are down in tenth in the home league table.

That complicates the picture of how this game could go as it’s very unpredictable.

But given their forms against each other it should be another victory for one side as opposed to a draw, which makes the double chance a solid choice if looking to add to a bet builder.

However, the bookies don’t fancy AFC Wimbledon to win really as they are out at 12/5, which makes sense as the atmosphere will be something else treating this game like a final.

Notts County have two players in the top three of League Two’s Top Scorers, with Alassana Jatta and David McGoldrick getting 19 and 17 goals respectively.

They are likely to play a huge role and should also be great additions to any bet builders or multis.
