George Clooney turned heads recently after departing from his signature silver fox look and dyeing his gray hair black for his Broadway debut.
He made the major change for the show, but it appears it was just a temporary dye job.

Clooney is currently appearing in the stage adaptation of his 2005 film Good Night, and Good Luck, and was recently nominated for a Tony Award for his portrayal of legendary journalist Edward R. Murrow.
The O Brother, Where Art Thou? star was seen out and about in New York City on May 6, wearing a black leather jacket and khaki pants, but eagle-eyed fans spotted a drastic change under his white baseball cap.
Photos obtained by The Daily Mail show the Ocean’s 11 actor’s signature salt and pepper hair peeking out as he greeted fans.

Clooney was very open about not liking the dark dye job, telling Gayle King in an interview for CBS Mornings, “I know it’s not good!”
In a recent conversation with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Clooney called the dark hair “horrible” and admitted that his wife, Amal Clooney, wasn’t a fan of the “bad look” either.
He did say that it gave him a certain level of anonymity in the street, as people didn’t recognize him with the darker ‘do.
