On May 2, 2025, Vietti Food Group of Nashville, Tennessee, announced a recall of over 4,500 cases of its Yellowstone Brown Sugar Molasses Baked Beans due to the presence of undeclared soy. The recall is aimed at protecting individuals with a soy allergy or severe sensitivity, as consuming the product could result in a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

According to the official FDA announcement, the recalled product is packaged in 15-ounce cans and distributed through retailers in the following states:
Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia.

Those who may have the recalled product in their possession can identify their cans by checking for Lot Code: Best if Used By Feb 17, 2028. This code will be printed on the bottom of each can. To further help identify the product in question, we’ve provided a picture of the label below:
