LIVE BLOG: Severe weather, tornado threat in Central Texas

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Severe weather is possible across Central Texas Tuesday. A Tornado Watch is in effect for most of the area until 4 p.m.

Large hail, strong winds and isolated tornadoes are all possible. Most of Central Texas is under a slight risk (level 2 of 5) of severe weather, while locations northeast of Austin are under an enhanced risk (level 3 of 5).

    1:32 p.m.: The Tornado Watch for Hays, Travis and Williamson counties was canceled. It remains in effect for Bastrop, Caldwell, Fayette, Lee and Milam counties.

    12:44 p.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for southern Milam County until 1:45 p.m. Quarter-size hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible.

    12:30 p.m.: The Tornado Watch for Blanco, Burnet, Gillespie and Llano counties was canceled. It remains in effect for Bastrop, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Milam, Travis and Williamson counties.

    12:27 p.m.: A Tornado Warning was issued for northeast Milam County until 1:15 p.m.

    12:16 p.m.: The National Weather Service said a confirmed tornado is on the ground in Milam County, near Cameron. The Milam County Sheriff's Office reported the tornado was near FM 1600.

    12:08 p.m.: The Tornado Watch for Lampasas County was canceled.

    12:04 p.m.: A Tornado Warning was issued for central Milam County until 12:45 p.m.

    12:04 p.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for southeast Williamson County until 12:30 p.m. Half dollar-size hail and wind gusts up to 65 mph are possible.

    11:49 a.m.: Cedar Park Police said the following low water crossings are closed: 2348 Cypress Lane, 2400 Sumac Lane and 2402 Peach Tree Lane. Traffic lights are also flashing red at US 183A and E. Whitestone Boulevard.

    11:45 a.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for Milam County until 12:45 p.m. Quarter-size hail and wind gusts up to 65 mph are possible.

    11:43 a.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for Blanco County, southwest Burnet County, southeast Gillespie County, northwest Hays County and west central Travis County until 12:30 p.m. Quarter-size hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible.

    11:29 a.m.: A Flash Flood Warning was issued for northern Travis and Williamson counties until 2:30 p.m. The National Weather Service said 1-3" of rain had fallen, with up to 2" of additional rainfall possible.

    10:59 a.m.: A Tornado Warning was issued for north central Milam County until 11:45 p.m.

    10:48 a.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for northern Milam County until 11:45 a.m. Quarter-size hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible.

    10:12 a.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for northwest Milam County until 11 a.m. Quarter-size hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible.

    9:34 a.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for southwest Blanco County and southwest Gillespie County until 10:15 a.m. Quarter-size hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible.

    9:08 a.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for northwest Travis County and northwest Williamson County until 10 a.m. Quarter-size hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible.

    8:30 a.m.: Marble Falls ISD says all campuses are sheltering in place due to severe weather. "Our emergency procedures are active and all students and staff are safe indoors. We are closely monitoring conditions and will provide updates as soon as it is safe to resume normal activities," the district said.

    8:25 a.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for northeast Blanco County, central Burnet County, northwest Travis County and northwest Williamson County until 9:15 a.m. Golf ball-size hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible.

    8:14 a.m.: A Tornado Watch was issued for most of Central Texas until 4 p.m.

    7:50 a.m.: A Tornado Warning was issued for parts of Blanco, Burnet and Llano counties until 8:30 a.m.

    7:13 a.m.: A Tornado Warning was issued for parts of Blanco and Gillespie counties until 8 a.m.

    6:52 a.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for parts of Blanco and Gillespie counties until 8 a.m.

    5:58 a.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for part of Gillespie County until 7 a.m.
