Mumbai Indians batter Naman Dhir had a poor outing with the bat in the ongoing game against Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Mumbai Indians are having a tough time with the bat in the game against Gujarat Titans. The Hardik Pandya-led side, who were asked to bat first, faced a terrible collapse as they lost wickets in clusters and were left reeling at 106 for five.
With the team under pressure, Naman Dhir, who walked out to bat at seven, was expected to play a vital role for the team. The Mumbai Indians batter, who has looked in good touch so far in the tournament, had a responsibility to bail his team out of trouble.
But that wasn't the case, as Naman Dhir followed the rest of the batters. The right-hander slammed a boundary in his innings as well, and with fewer overs remaining, it was expected that he would finish the innings on a high. However, his stay at the crease was cut short by Prasidh Krishna.
Naman Dhir gave the charge, and Prasidh Krishna banged one into the surface. The Mumbai Indians batter was caught in a hopeless position on the pull. The ball hit high on the bat and lobbed down to mid-off for a simple grab. It was yet another bad miscue as the team lost another crucial wicket.
What caught the attention of many was the reaction of Rohit Sharma after Naman Dhir got out. The former Mumbai Indians skipper was extremely angry with the batter's shot selection and was seen gesturing that he could've hit somewhere else.
