Luc Weaver, a prized 4-star wide receiver, has decided to stay close to home and play football at USC beginning in 2026.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Weaver is from nearby Sherman Oaks, Calif., and told On3 of his decision on Saturday afternoon. Weaver chose USC over fellow Big Ten schools UCLA, Washington and Minnesota, and USC’s proximity sounds like it played a major role in luring Weaver to Lincoln Riley’s program.
On social media, Weaver wrote: “No place like home (with the house emoji) Fight On (with the 2-fingered peace emoji)”
Weaver made a visit to USC 2 weeks ago and had an offer from Riley and the Trojans before he even left campus that day. Two weeks later, Weaver has committed to play football for Riley.

Before Weaver announced his commitment on Saturday, Washington looked to have a great shot at luring him up to Seattle. Weaver had an official visit scheduled for Washington on May 30. He was also scheduled to visit Minnesota on June 13, and an official visit to UCLA was being discussed.
