PRINCE Harry launched an incendiary attack on his family — claiming the King “won’t speak to me”.
He lashed out on a TV interview after losing a multi-million pound fight for protection in the UK.
Harry still claimed to want “reconciliation” with his family.
But an insider said Charles was frustrated and upset with his son — and the burden he had put on taxpayers.
Speaking to The Sun before Harry’s BBC tirade, the friend of Charles said it would have been “constitutionally improper” for him to intervene in the court case.
They added: “What has frustrated and upset him on a more personal level is the Duke’s failure to respect this principle. And for his supporters to suggest that somehow his father doesn’t care about his family, or should step in.
“He’s been particularly concerned that it has taken considerable resources and cost for the Government to defend their position.”
Harry bizarrely claimed to be the victim of an establishment stitch-up and “can’t see a world” in which he would bring his wife and kids here.
A Palace spokesman said of the long-running security battle: “All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion.”
MY DAD WON’T SPEAK TO ME

PRINCE Harry last night said his dad King Charles will not speak to him — but admitted he wanted a reconciliation.
Harry said he does not know “how much longer” his cancer-suffering father has left and that “life is precious”.
Talking about the King, Harry said: ‘I would love reconciliation with my family’BBC Speaking about William, Harry said: ‘Some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. They will never forgive me for lots of things’BBCAnd he claimed losing yesterday’s legal battle over his security in UK meant it was “impossible” for him to bring his family here safely.
His astonishing outburst from California, where he is now based, came without any warning to Buckingham Palace.
And came hours after Court of Appeal judges ruled out his bid for taxpayer-funded armed protection that he lost when he quit royal duties in 2020.
In his BBC interview, Harry called that verdict “a good old fashioned establishment stitch up” and called for PM Sir Keir Starmer to intervene.
Moments before the broadcast, sources close to the King had told The Sun of Charles’s “frustration” that Harry’s supporters suggested “his father doesn’t care about his (Harry’s) family”.
Insiders had also suggested a possible way forward between the pair depended on Harry’s reaction to the court loss.
Minutes later they got their answer as Harry again raged against the state, the Royal Household, his father, brother William and stepmother.
Speaking before Harry’s TV meltdown, the source told The Sun: “The King is at heart a loving and generous man.
“That love has been sorely tested by this case and so many other issues over recent times.
“But there is now a chance for his son to move forwards rather than dwell on past grievances.
“From his father’s perspective, the door has been shut by necessity while this painful issue played out through the proper judicial channels — but it has not been locked forever, nor the key thrown away.”
The Palace and the King, who has had cancer treatment for more than a year, were not warned of Harry’s 30-minute BBC interview.
On the security row, Harry claimed he did not want his father to intervene, adding: “I asked him to step out of the way and let the experts do their jobs.”
Referring to his incendiary memoir Spare, he said: “Of course some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. They will never forgive me for lots of things. But I would love reconciliation with my family.

Sun source“There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has. He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. But it would be nice to reconcile.”
Friends close to the King had raised the idea of a reconciliation before the interview aired.
But they said Harry’s attacks in recent years and controversy over the security case had made the family situation worse.
They said: ‘The King has always considered that this was an issue for His Government and courts to resolve and that for him to intervene in any way would be constitutionally improper.”
“What has frustrated and upset him on a more personal level is The Duke’s failure to respect this principle — and for his supporters to suggest that somehow his father doesn’t care about his family, or should step in, click his fingers, and demand a form of protection that the leading national experts on protection may or may not consider necessary on any given visit.
“He has been particularly concerned that it has taken considerable resources and cost for the Government to defend the position.”
Harry’s complaint centred around the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) committee, which authorises security for senior royals on behalf of the Home Office. Changes to his security were introduced in 2020 as he stepped down as a working royal and moved to the US.
Harry raged against the 2020 decision saying “overnight” he dropped from being classed as the highest royal at risk to the lowest.
I can’t see a world in which I will be bringing my wife and children back to the UK at this point
Prince HarryHe added: “The other side have won in keeping me unsafe.
“I can’t see a world in which I will be bringing my wife and children back to the UK at this point.”
Claiming “I love my country” he added: “I think it’s quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”
He questioned the motive behind the decision to strip his security and the fact that the King’s private secretary sits on the board.
Referring to the Government, Harry said: ‘Some say this is an old-fashioned establishment stitch up and that is what it feels like’BBC Talking about security, Harry said: ‘There is a duty of care that has been completely thrown out the window and that doesn’t feel great’BBCHarry added: “I am forced to go through the Royal Household and accept they are putting my best interest forward during this conversations and deliberations
“So no, I haven’t asked my father to intervene.”
Harry added: “I don’t want any battles to continue. There is way too much suffering and way too much conflict in the world. At the heart of it is a family dispute.”
In another swipe he added: “If anything was to happen to me, my wife, or my father’s grandchildren, if anything was to happen to them, look where the responsibility lies, you know? So there is a duty of care that has been completely thrown out the window and that doesn’t feel great.”
If anything was to happen to me, my wife, or my father’s grandchildren, if anything was to happen to them, look where the responsibility lies, you know?
Prince HarryAnd in another wild attack he said: “Through the disclosure process I have discovered that some people want history to repeat itself, which is pretty dark.”
Harry has previously claimed he took his family to the USA fearing Meghan could die like his mother Princess Diana.
Asked if he felt let down by the UK, he added: “That’s a big question. At this point I am feeling very let down. It’s the minority of people, especially those that read the tabloids, and the press themselves, they have incited so much hatred towards myself, my wife and even our children. That’s quite hard to forgive.”
But then claimed that he has been able to move on from what happened after Meghan arrived in 2016.
He said: “I have moved past that. I can forgive my family’s involvement, my father’s, my brother and my stepmother, I can forgive the press to a large extent for so many things that have happened.
“What I’m struggling to forgive and what I will always struggle to forgive is that a decision was made in 2020 and that affects my every single day. And that is knowingly putting me and my family in harm’s way.”
Slamming the decision he called for the Home Secretary Yvette Cooper to launch a review of Ravec.
He said: “Whether you are the government, whether you are the royal household, whether you are my dad, my family. Despite all of our differences, do you not want to ensure our safety?”
All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion
Buckingham Palace spokesmanSpeaking further about regret he added: “I actually thought with all the disagreements, with all of the chaos that was happening, the one thing that I could rely on was my family keeping me safe.
“And not only did they decide to remove my security in the UK, but they also signalled to every government around the world not to protect us.”
The Sun understands, however, that Harry wishes that he could win the case to cut down on his security costs and try and get back his status as an International Protected Person (IPP) which was also removed when Ravec pulled the plug.
He spends millions on bodyguards and a source said: “It’s all about the money”.
Harry added that he was “devastated” about the decision and claimed that “people that wish me harm” would consider the Court of Appeal decision “a huge win”.
He said: “But there have been so many disagreements and differences between me and some of my family.
“This current situation that has now been ongoing for five years with regard to human life and safety, is the sticking point. It is the only thing that is left.
“Of course some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. Of course they will never forgive me for lots of things. But I would love reconciliation with my family.
“There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has. He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff.
“But it would be nice to reconcile.”
And apparently addressing his family and the UK he added: “It would be nice to have that reconciliation part now. If they don’t want that, that is entirely up to them.”
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion.”
