Hikers found a body in Lake Dillon late Wednesday, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the incident.

Mike Schilling said Friday that deputies didn’t observe any “initial, obvious signs of foul play” while examining the body discovered near the Frisco Peninsula at the Denver Water reservoir, located near Interstate 70 and U.S. 6 west of Denver.
He said the Summit County Office of the Coroner has identified the person and is in the process of notifying their immediate family.
Deputies said in a statement Wednesday that the discovery was unrelated to their search for the driver of a stolen vehicle near Lake Dillon earlier that day.
