Alex Warren tops Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart in his first appearance, as “Ordinary” lifts 4-1 on the May 3-dated tally.
“Ordinary” reigns with 21 million official U.S. streams earned in the week ending April 24, up 3%, according to Luminate.
The song becomes the first No. 1 to rise to the top of the list, rather than debut there, in two months, following the ascension of Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” to the summit of the survey dated March 1.
Warren is the second act to rule Streaming Songs as a lead act for the first time in 2025, following BigXthaPlug, whose “All the Way,” featuring Bailey Zimmerman, debuted at No. 1 on the April 19 ranking. As BigXthaPlug had an appearance on Streaming Songs prior to “All the Way,” Warren is the first lead act to reign with a maiden entry since Tommy Richman with “Million Dollar Baby” in May 2024.
Concurrently, as previously reported, “Ordinary” reaches a new peak of No. 3 on the multimetric Billboard Hot 100. In addition to its streaming activity, the song earned 16.8 million radio audience impressions and sold 7,000 downloads.
“Ordinary” is featured on You’ll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1), Warren’s debut full-length album. It’s achieved a peak so far of No. 17 on the Billboard 200 (April 26) and has earned 533,000 equivalent album units since its premiere in September 2024.
